Beretta continues to grow and evolve its iconic 92 series of pistols. Over the last few years, we have seen Beretta take massive steps to modernize one of the most famous pistols in its history with the 92X series. Beretta is proud to introduce the newest pistol into that lineage with the Beretta 92 XI Squalo.

The new 92XI Squalo embodies the power, precision, and relentless pursuit of excellence of Beretta firearms. The word “Squalo,” which means shark in Italian, serves as the conduit of the design philosophy and aesthetics referencing the sleek and powerful nature of the shark. Beretta designed the Squalo to stand out amongst its myriad of competitors.

The Squalo uses the 92X series as its foundation for this build. The pistol has an X-treme S flat-face trigger and performance DLC-coated internals with a lightweight skeletonized hammer. These elements combine to give the end user a robust pistol with a clean and crisp trigger pull for the shooter.

The slide features a fiber optic front sight and a blacked-out rear to assist in faster sight acquisition by the shooter. The Squalo also offers the ability to mount an RDS to your pistol, making it ready for use in Carry Optics of USPSA.

The frame features the Toni Systems flared magwell to aid in faster reloads, an aggressive grip texture designed for Beretta by Hogue to help shooters lock in their grip, and an adjustable magazine release. The Beretta 92XI Squalo includes three Mec-Gar® 18 + 4 round magazines.

The Beretta 92XI Squalo seeks to be an out-of-the-box-ready competition pistol with a performance flat face trigger, performance internals, and optics ready from the beginning. It gives shooters a versatile pistol that can be used for self-defense, burning down during a competition, and then back again to a self-defense pistol. The Squalo is available now and retails for $1,299 MSRP. For more on the Beretta 92XI Squalo and other firearms, click here.
