Atlas Gunworks is well-known for crafting some of the best 2011 pistols on the market. Each Atlas pistol is meticulously designed, carefully constructed, and hand-built with a level of precision and accuracy that has few equals. Now, Atlas Gunworks has taken that wealth of knowledge and expertise and poured it into their new pistol. Atlas Gunworks is proud to debut the new Apollo V2 pistol.

The Apollo is an incredible evolutionary step for the team at Atlas. Without the restrictions of a competition division, Atlas was able to design a pistol with no limitations and flex their engineering muscles. The engineering team of Atlas fuses the compensator design of the Erebus and the design and silhouette of the Athena to birth the Apollo pistol. The Apollo is a fusion of the best elements from both pistols to create the perfect blend of craftsmanship and performance.

The Apollo features deep front and rear slide serrations aid in slide manipulation in adverse conditions. Housed within the slide is a 4.6-inch ported bull barrel. The ported barrel allows for the Apollo to shoot flatter allowing for shooter’s to track their sights and make quicker follow up shots. The slide also comes optics-ready with a plate system and a blacked-out rear sight with a fiber optic front. The gun also includes an aluminum frame with aggressive texturing to help lock in your grip with ambidextrous safety for left or right-handed shooters. The trigger is a lightweight 2 lb trigger with a clean, crisp break and an exceptional reset.

Like all of Atlas pistols, the Apollo features its Perfect Zero designation. Perfect Zero is the concept that the gun fires, lifts, and returns to the same spot on the target without any outside forces by the shooter. This is possible when the shooter adheres to the fundamentals of marksmanship, which include proper sight alignment, sight picture, grip, and trigger press. If the fundamentals are applied correctly, the Apollo should fall right back on target, achieving Perfect Zero with iron sights or a red dot. This is achieved by Atlas Gunworks gunsmiths fine-tuning the Apollo around the ammunition and making sure it behaves the same no matter what type of ammunition you run through it.

The Apollo is set to be a game-changer for Atlas and could be the best pistol the company has made so far. This pistol doesn’t have any competitive restrictions stopping it from reaching its full potential. Atlas Gunworks is at the forefront of the 2011 market, and the new Apollo hopes to solidify that position. The Apollo will be available in the second quarter of this year and retail for $6,300 MSRP. It is a premium pistol that fetches a premium price but is a cheat code in anyone’s hands and a race car in the hands of a skillful shooter.
